You made me cry!! I love this video - it's beautiful! I was just thinking about/talking about your mom today! I always knew you looked a lot like her, but seeing those pictures of her when she was younger emphasizes it even more. She would be so proud of you and the woman you've become. Love you Jen!
Julienne Blomgren, 44, of Boone, died on Monday morning, May 16, 2005, due to cancer. Services were held Thursday morning, May 19th at 11 a.m. at the Oakwood Road Church in Ames, Iowa, with pastor George Stagg officiating. Interment was at Squire Boone Cemetery southeast of Boone.
She was born on March 24, 1961, in Ames, the daughter of Jim and Joyce (Bravard) Safly. On April 6th, 1980, she married Douglas Eugene Blomgren at St. Andrews in Ames. She was a 1979 graduate of United Community School. She was a k-12 teacher, a transportation director, a recreation director, a financial planner, a chef for hundreds, a 4-H leader, and an assistant to her husband at Blomgren Seed. She was a member of Oakwood Road Church, Ames, where she served as a Sunday school teacher. She has also served the Lord as a youth group leader, and a Vacation Bible School teacher. She has been involved in 4-H all of her life as an active member and leader, most recently with the Luther Livewires. She also served as a leader of Heart ‘n’ Home.
